A cheap holiday to Rhodes in 2001 changed Sam's life from Learning & Development Consultant in London to Dog Groomer and business owner.

Shirley found Sam in Rhodes and came back with the family to Essex. She was a matted mess who needed a groomer!

She lived a long, happy life with The Banks family and inspired Sam to make the career change.

After Shirley came Foxie from the Greek Animal Resuce, then Snowie from Romania, then Maria and Dino from a visit to the dog shelter whilst on holiday in Rhodes!

With over 20 years of experience in dog grooming and salon management, I hold the City & Guilds Advanced Level 3 Qualification. In addition to extensive hands-on experience, I spent 5 years as a Dog Grooming Tutor at Writtle University College, teaching City & Guilds Dog Grooming Levels 2 & 3. I holds a Level 3 Award in Education & Training

I have enjoyed competing in grooming competitions since 2015, consistently placing with Poodles and Cockapoos. My achievements in the industry showcase my dedication and expertise in dog grooming and continuing professional development.

I regularly attend seminars and training days, I am a Canine First Aider and I own a Toy Poodle called Wilson, 2 Standard Poodles called Poppy and Buddy, 2 mixed breeds called Snowie and Maria.

I am passionate about dogs and the world of dog grooming. I have a patient and calm approach to teaching and help students to learn in a relaxed and friendly environment with creativity and fun, I can help with your theory and share my practical experience of running a grooming salon and large client base.

Groomer and Tutor

Nicolle came to Tails of Wigborough on work experience 10 years ago and has since gained a wealth of achievement and experience in dog grooming. She competes in grooming competitions and has been placed with her poodles and miniature schnauzer, showcasing her skill and dedication in the field. Nicolle has also taught Dog Grooming at Writtle College University and runs her own successful grooming business.

Nicolle holds a Canine First Aid Certificate and regularly attends seminars and workshops.
